Pop-Tarts World is a new “restaurant” that opened in Times Square. You can order a variety of mock foods that are made of pop-tarts and other sugary treats, such as sushi that is crumbled up pop-tarts wrapped in fruit rolls (gross) or ants on a log that I am having a hard time finding out exactly what it is. It looks like more crumbled pop-tarts on top of some sort of fake celery (also gross).
Also available are all kinds of merchandise, from t-shirts to kitchen utensils.
Did I miss something? When did Pop-Tarts get this popular? Why do they need their own store? Also, what asshole parent is taking their kid in this place? What asshole is going in this place? I don’t want to meet them. And I won’t. You know why? This monstrosity is in Times Square. Times Square attracts people who want the same crap they can get at home, like Olive Garden and Red Lobster. Times Square is made up of tourist dads dragging obnoxious kids and disgruntled wives around and guys asking you if you like comedy shows. No, I do not like comedy shows.
I want to throw pop-tarts at the person who thought of this. I thought the M&M’s and Hershey stores were bad enough.
I do recommend checking out their site. If it does not make you weep for our souls, you should be ashamed of yourself.
