Eine Kleine Mosque Music

Daryl Lang posted photos of other things just as close to Ground Zero as the soon to be and very highly controversial mosque.

Lang says, “At this point the only argument against this project is fear, specifically fear of Muslims, and that’s a bigoted, cowardly and completely indefensible position.” I completely agree. And let’s take it a little further, shall we? Why not protest something like McDonald’s or the nearby Burger King and Dunkin’ Donuts? Why is it okay for large corporations to benefit from the tourist attraction that is Ground Zero? Let’s not kid ourselves, that is what it is. People come to NY from a lot of places, and Ground Zero is a popular stopping point. But hey, capitalism is what keeps us going, right? Apparently so does blatant racism and hatred. I guess Muslims did not suffer on Sept 11, 2001. That is, essentially, what all the hate is getting at. Speaking as a Muslim, I beg to differ. But thanks for letting me know where you stand bigots!

  1. Some crazy conservative talking head claimed they would open a “muslim-themed gay bar” near the mosque.

Gawker had a field day with ideas for the possible names. My favorite was “Ram-a-dan”. I thought of your dinosaur. Like, in a sexy way.

    • I read about the gay bar. The best part is the douche who suggested it is so conservative he hates queers too. Good for him. The Ram-a-dan, nice. ahahahaha

  2. And for the record, “Mosque” and “Nacht” don’t rhyme, Shakesqueer.
